Haut Randonnée Pyrénéenne: Introduction

The Haut Randonnée Pyrénéenne (HRP) is a route through the Pyrenees. There are several variants and the route is not waymarked. The route starts at Hendaye on the Atlantic coast and finshes at Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediteranian coast, like the GR10. That is the largest simularity between the two routes. Unlike the GR10 that does not leave France, the HRP spends almost half the time in Spain and passes through Andorra.
